Sayphonh
Dental Hygienist
Sayphonh grew up in the small town of Raymond, Washington. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a Hospital Corpsman Dental Assistant (HMDA) aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). During her five years of active duty, she developed a passion for dental cleanings, particularly while working as a prophylaxis technician.
After completing her service, Sayphonh pursued her dream of becoming a dental hygienist. She began by completing her prerequisites at Olympic College and later at Seattle Central College, where she earned her Associate Degree in Applied Sciences and her Bachelor Degree in Applied Sciences. Graduating in 2019 at the top of her class, Sayphonh was honored with the prestigious Golden Scaler award, recognizing exceptional clinical skills, professionalism, leadership, and overall excellence in patient care and instrumentation.
Between 2020-2025, Sayphonh worked on Vashon Island, but after considering the demands of a long commute and the needs of her growing family, she made the decision to serve as a dental hygienist in the local community. Outside of work, Sayphonh enjoys spending quality time with her two kids, husband, and two dogs.
